The former Brechin Infirmary site

Brechin Healthcare Group met on Wednesday 13 July 2022 and spent some 2 hours carefully and long debating the way forward in the light of the non-cooperation of NHS Tayside.

All agreed that the Infirmary would have been optimal, but wishing for the ideal outcome sadly does not make any difference.

It was decided by all present that we would simply advise our membership that we accept the decision of NHS Tayside, without any comment, dust ourselves off, and look at alternative locations, commencing with Brechin Football Club, which has been making sympathetic responses.

We know how disappointing this is for each and every one of us, and will require re-focussing our efforts for the good of the people of Brechin, Edzell and the Glens, our primary objective.
